14th BfR User Conference Product Notifications
The 14th BfR User Conference addresses all actors of the PCN process, such as legal submitters (industry), national and regional authorities and poisons centres in Germany and in Europe.
The German Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR) is the appointed body for the receipt and processing of product notifications used in the event of emergency health response in the German Poisons Centres.
The product notifications according to Article 45 of the European CLP Regulation as well as on §10 of the national Detergent and Cleaning Agents Act (Wasch- und Reinigungsmittelgesetz) are subject to an expert validation at the BfR. Eventually the product data is forwarded, by the BfR, to the seven German poisons centres to be used in the event of emergency health response. The BfR accepts products, which are outside the scope of any notification obligation and submitted voluntarily, as well. The preparation on submissions of notification dossiers is sometimes challenging and is going to be depicted by reference to real life examples. Experience made by the parties involved is going to be in the focus of the conference with regard, in particular, to the Poison Centres Notification (PCN) procedure.
