Junior research groups at the BfR

Junior research groups at the BfR are dedicated mainly to research and offer up-and-coming scientists excellent opportunities to conduct research and acquire scientific qualifications in the main areas of research at the BfR. The junior research groups are assigned to the specialised departments as independent work units. They are headed by postdoctoral scientists embarking on their scientific career, supported by two doctoral candidates and a technical assistant. The modern technical equipment is also at the disposal of the junior research groups. The groups are set to run for a maximum period of six years with an interim evaluation after two and a half years.
