The following applies to all publications: PDF files can be downloaded and printed out free of charge. The link can be found in the publication lists. Most of the publications are free, but the BfR usually levies a token charge for quantities of 50 units or more. We request brief notification in order to check the possibility of exemption.

A general printing cost fee is charged for BfR-Wissenschaft brochures and dissertations. The price is listed in the publications list. Payment can only be made per money transfer. Please do not enclose any cash, cheques or stamps with your written orders as they cannot be booked. An invoice is included with every consignment.

Right of withdrawal

You can revoke your contractual declaration in writing (e.g. per letter, fax or e-mail) within 14 days without stating any reasons or - if you have taken possession of the items before the expiry of the deadline - by returning them. The deadline begins with the receipt of these instructions in writing, but not before receipt of the items by the recipient and not before fulfilment of our obligation to provide information in accordance with Article 246 § 2 in combination with § 1 Paras. 1 and 2 of the Introductory Act to the German Civil Code (EGBGB), as well as our obligations in line with § 312 e Para. 1 P 1 BGB in combination with Article 246 § 3 EGBGB. Timely dispatch of the declaration of withdrawal or the items is sufficient to preserve the withdrawal period. The withdrawal declaration should be sent to:

BfR Press and Public Relations Office
Max-Dohrn-Str. 8–10
10589 Berlin
Fax: 030-18412-4741

Please make return consignments postage paid to this address within the withdrawal period.

Consequences of withdrawal

In the event of effective withdrawal, performances rendered by both sides have to be returned and any benefits taken from them handed back. If you cannot fully or partially return the rendered performance to us, or only in a worse condition, you may have to pay us compensation to cover this. This does not apply to the surrender of items if their deterioration is attributable exclusively to their perusal, as would have been possible in a normal shop. In addition to this, you can avoid the obligation to pay compensation for making proper use of an item by not making use of the item as if it were your own property and do nothing which could impair its value. Items which can be shipped as parcels should be returned at our risk. Items which cannot be shipped as parcels will be picked up from your premises. Obligations to make payments must be fulfilled within 30 days. The deadline begins for you with the dispatch of your declaration of withdrawal, or of the goods, for us with the receipt thereof.
